Fargo Park District is in need of individuals, families, older adults, small and large groups (2-30) and youth minimum age of 15 years old to help at the straw bale maze, craft projects, carnival games, and other positions. Check-in for volunteers will be at the pumpkin patch at the blue tent. September 20th & 21st, shifts are: Saturday 9:30am-1:30pm, 1pm-5:30pm, Sunday 11:30pm-2:30pm, and 2:00pm-5:30pm. Family Voices of ND (FVND) is in need of individuals, older adults, small and large groups (2-30) and youth minimum age of 18 old to help setup/tear down gala. Assist with silent auction and with guest check-in and check out, and will need Host/Hostess for seating. Thursday October 23rd at the Doublewood Inn from 6:30pm-9:30pm.
Feed My Starving Children Meal Pack Volunteer
Feed My Starving Children Meal Pack is in need of individuals, families, small groups (2-6) and youth-minimum age of 5 years old/kindergarten age to measure and scoop ingredients, seal bags and prepare boxes for shipping on Saturday October 4th for two-hour shifts: Shifts start at 8am, 10:30am and 1:30pm
Herberger/Goodwill Clothing Drive
Easter Seals Goodwill is looking for individuals and older adults to accept donated clothing from donor, giving a coupon back for each item donated, and tracking the donors with slash marks. For this special clothes drive event.

Meal Volunteer Opportunity
FM Dorothy Day House is in need of individuals, families, older adults, small groups (4 at most). This is a meal volunteer opportunity, the responsibilities are to bring food to prepare and cooking food by 6pm on designated night of volunteer's choice. Can stay and eat with us, food must be prepared here or in a commercial kitchen.
Share a Meal
The Ronald McDonald House of the Red River Valley is in need of individuals, families, older adults, and small groups (2-6) to volunteer to extend needed support to families by providing meals at the House. Volunteers make a tremendous difference in the lives of families by providing nutritious and delicious meals and baked goods. We are seeking volunteers to help us create a "home away from home" for families by coming to our House and preparing a meal or baked goods. Baked goods can be provided at any time.
Moorhead Center Mall is looking for individuals to dress up in Halloween costumes, possibly help with haunted spaces, give out candy, etc. October 31st, 4pm-10pm at the Moorhead Center Mall. Also looking for volunteers to help decorate on October 30th if needed.

Companions for Children Volunteers
Companions for Children is in need of individuals to become youth mentors. Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old, pass screening, and be able to spend at least 4 hours per month with a youth. Location is in Minot, North Dakota.
Staining decks and step volunteers
The Perry Center is in need of individuals, families, small and large groups (2-20) to help with staining the decks and steps in apartment complexes. We are wanting to get this project started ASAP. This project can be done at night or on weekends if needed.
FirstLink is in need of individuals, families, and older adults to represent FirstLink at various booths in the community. Time commitment is typically 2-4 hours per booth. Booths are typically in the evenings and on weekends; some weekday booths maybe available.
Mentor in the Reach & Rise Program
YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties is in need of individuals for their mentor programs. Volunteer mentors are matched with a young person, age 6-17 years old, for one year to provide one-to-one mentoring services and create safe, healthy and meaningful relationships with youth. Mentors meet with their mentee once a week for 1-3 hours and participate in activities of their choice.
Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota: Lutheran Social Services Senior Companions is in need of Older Adults (55+years) to provide companionship (coffee & conversations), social recreation and assistance with non-medical daily living activities. (e.g. grocery shopping, sorting mail, light meal prep to older adult men who are homebound, lonely, isolated, frail or disable. Flexible weekly schedule. Volunteers received hourly stipend, paid holidays, paid time off and mileage reimbursement.
M.O.M.'s Program Volunteer
The Salvation Army is in need of individuals, small groups (2-6), large groups 6-10 and older adults to help serve lunch to children in 3 different low income areas, clan up after the meal and interact with the children from Monday-Friday during summer months.
Assistant to Beauty Shop
Bethany Retirement Living is in need of individuals to assist taking residents to and from the Beauty Shop, gathering a schedule of appointments, organizing schedule, going to units to notify the residents of their appointments, transporting the resident by wheelchair to the beauty shop and back to their rooms. Monday through Friday from 9am-12pm, could do one to one visits during down time. At the 201 South University Drive location.
Get set and go stylists
Bethany Retirement Living is in need of individuals or small groups (2-6) who are willing and able to fix hair, to set and or curl with curling iron residents who do not go to the beauty shop. Do not need a Beautician license. Could also paint nails. Mornings 9am-12pm every/any day of the week. At 201 South University Drive locations.
Bethany Retirement Living is in need of individuals, older adults, families, small groups of 2, and youth-minimum age of 16 years old or younger with an adult to volunteer in the coffee shop on the weekends. Saturdays: 12:30pm-4pm, Sundays: 12:30-4pm at 201 South University Drive location.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is in need of men who are willing to be a friend and mentor to a young person in need of a positive influence in their life. Involves spending time hanging out at least a couple of times a month.
Road to Recovery Driver
American Cancer Society is looking for individuals, 18 years old and older adults to provide rides to patients who have no way to get to their cancer treatment. Volunteer drivers donate their time and the use of their cars to get patients to and from the treatment they need. All drivers are training by the American Cancer Society. Drivers need a current valid driver's license, a good driving record, a safe and reliable car and proof of car insurance. This program requires a one-year commitment but has flexible hours and will work with your availability!
REACH Food Pantry Office Support
The REACH office in Hawley is in need of volunteers for Office support to assist clients with our Food Pantry on Mondays & Thursdays between 1pm-4pm. Any help with one or both of these days for any amount of time would be greatly appreciated.
Support Group Facilitator
Alzheimer’s Association is looking for an individual to facilitate an existing support group for those caring for a person with younger-onset Alzheimer’s. The person they care for is a loved one who is under 65 years of age and has dementia. The support group meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 6:30-800pm at 2631 12th Ave S, Fargo.
Dress for Success Boutique Merchandiser
Dress for Success Red River Vally is in need of volunteers to assist with sorting clothing donations and organizing the Boutique. Flexible hours are available.
Patient Care Volunteer
Hospice Red River Valley is in need of individuals to provide companionship, light housekeeping, friendly visiting, to reminisce, play cards, and share coffee with patients who are receiving hospice care. Times are flexible depending on patient needs and volunteer availability.
Meal Delivery Volunteers
Valley Senior Services is in need of volunteers to assist with Meals on Wheels Delivery in West Fargo. Volunteers deliver the meals to homebound elderly in our community. Meals are delivered for the noon meal Monday through Friday out of the West Fargo high-rise. It is about a one-hour time commitment each week.
*Youth Court Volunteer
Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota is looking for mature, responsible people between the ages of 12 and 18 years old to serve on the Youth Court jury. Youth Court is an alternative to formal court proceedings for youth who have been charged with an offense or are showing concerning behavior. As a Youth Court volunteer you will participate as courtroom personnel and make decisions that help your community and your peers. As a volunteer you will also have the opportunity to learn about the court system, gain valuable experience that can be used on college applications, serve as a positive role model, meet new friends and help your peers repair the harm that they have caused. All volunteers must go through a 1 hour orientation prior to serving as a jury member on Youth Court and acquire 2 letters of recommendation from non-family members. Youth Court hearings are held every Thursday (year-round) from 4:00pm-6:00pm at the Lutheran Social Services Program Center (4720 7th Ave S, Suite B). We ask that volunteers commit to attending 2 times a month but we are able to be flexible with your schedule on which dates you are able to participate.
