Pedaling for Possibilities Volunteers
Interagency Program for Assistive Technology needs volunteers for Pedaling for Possibilities on February 11.

Fight the Frost Volunteers
Volunteer groups of 5 or more are needed to fill 3 hour shifts. The shifts start Friday, February 17 at 3pm. They will be open 3-9 on Friday, 9-9 on Saturday, and 12-6 on Sunday. 

Heart Warmer
Ronald McDonald House Charities is looking for volunteers to assist guests and staff with various tasks. Individuals are asked to complete 2-3 hours weekly (M-F).

Community Investment Review Panel
United Way of Cass-Clay is seeking donors to volunteer on Community Investment Review Panels and review agencies seeking funding and help make funding decisions. There is a 12 hour time commitment over February and March. Deadline to register is January 27.  As a Community Investment Review Panel Volunteer you commit to attending a 1.5 hour training session (February 2012), spend 6-10 hours on your own reviewing applications of 3-5 programs seeking United Way funding (Feb-March 2012), participate in a 1 day session (8 hours) touring agencies and discussing their impact with a review panel (Feb-March 2012), and must be a donor of the United Way of Cass-Clay.  Training takes place at the United Way office at 219 7th Street S, Fargo. All duties are completed by the end of March. 

Arts & Crafts Volunteers for the Celtic Festival
Fargo Park District is seeking individuals or groups ranging from 2-30 people over the age of 14 to assist children with various arts & craft projects including Celtic Shields, Greeting Cards, Celtic Knots and more.  Volunteers are needed for the 9:30am-1:30pm and 1:00-5:00pm shifts on March 17, 2012 at the Hjemkomst Center located at 202 1st Ave N, Moorhead.  The actual event hours will be from 10am-4pm. 

Greeter for the Celtic Festival
Fargo Park District is looking for volunteers to be stationed at the front door and welcome people into the Celtic Fest.  Greeters must be at least 14 years old.  They will also use a counter to keep attendance and assist people with information about the activities available at Celtic Fest.  Greeters are needed for the 9:30am-1:30pm and 1:00-5:00pm shifts on March 17, 2012 at the Hjemkomst Center located at 202 1st Ave N, Moorhead.  The actual event hours will be from 10am-4pm. 

Pancake Karnival Volunteers
Fargo Kiwanis Club
needs volunteers 12 years of age and older to help with their 54th Annual Fargo Kiwanis Community Pancake Karnival on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the FARGODOME.  Volunteers are needed for the following jobs: mixing batter, transporting batter, flipping pancakes, serving coffee, passing pancakes, and helping with Games Galore.  Individuals, small groups, and large groups up to 40 are welcome to volunteer.  Volunteers are needed for shifts starting at 6:30am, 10:45am and 3:15pm.  

Shelter Volunteers
The current shelters need assistance from 6:30-9:30pm to get the shelter ready for the evening by putting down mattresses and so forth.  They also need volunteers from 9:30-11:30am to provide oversight for individuals preparing to shower.  The church host sites will need volunteers from 8:30pm – 12:30am, 11:30pm – 4:30am and 4:00am-7:30am to be present in the sleeping areas.  They will also need volunteers from 7:00-9:00am to clean up the sleeping area in the morning.  Volunteer training sessions will be held in January at First United Methodist. 

Gift Shop/Coffee Shop Attendant
Eventide is looking for two types of volunteers.  Gift Shop Attendants:  run merchandise sales on cash register and assist shoppers as needed with cards and gifts.  Crossings Café Attendant:  run coffee/snack and merchandise sales on cash register and assist shoppers as needed with cards and gifts.  They will train volunteers on cash register.  They are looking for individuals to help out one to five days a week or month from 10:30 – 1:30 or 1:30 – 4:30 at Eventide in Moorhead or 1:30 – 4:30 at Eventide at Sheyenne Crossings in West Fargo.

Retail Specialist
HERO is looking for individuals to assist customers and design displays of HERO product (wound care, personal hygiene, mobility items, etc.) Volunteer hours vary and HERO is open Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm. 

Food Distribution and /or Food Order
Dorothy Day Food Pantry is in need of volunteers to help clients with picking up food, stocking shelves, unloading food orders, and shelving the food orders.  They are in need Monday – Thursday 11am to 4pm and 6 to 8:30pm.  Volunteers should be age 10 or older.

Big Brothers
Big Brothers Big Sisters is looking for male volunteers.  Volunteers are asked to make a one year commitment and meet with a child every other week to participate in a variety of activities. 

Meal Delivery Volunteers
Valley Senior Services is recruiting volunteers to assist with meal delivery in North, South, and West Fargo.  It is about an hour time commitment and would be for the noon meal.  Volunteers deliver the meals to homebound elderly in our community.
